During a recent interview with Ariel Helwani, WWE World Heavyweight Champion Gunther addressed criticism aimed at fellow WWE Superstar Logan Paul and offered candid insight into Paul’s presence in the company, as well as confirming a major update to his own WWE future.
Gunther, known for his dominant in-ring style and stoic demeanor, defended Paul’s role in WWE despite pushback from fans and peers who question the involvement of celebrities or “outsiders” in the wrestling world.
“I think [Logan Paul] is a great addition for us. He’s a crazy athlete and he picked it up really quick,” Gunther said. “I don’t think his aspirations are to be the best wrestler in the world and he doesn’t need to.”
Gunther didn’t shy away from addressing the perks Paul receives, including reported private travel accommodations and locker room privileges, offering a blunt reality check to those critical of Paul’s treatment.
“I get there’s some sentiment towards the outsiders, but if you get offered that private jet and private locker room, none of you would turn it down. Come on guys.”
In the same interview, Gunther revealed he has officially signed a new contract with WWE. As part of the deal, he secured a significant perk: a tour bus.
Gunther’s star continues to rise as he remains one of WWE’s most respected and feared champions. With a fresh contract in hand and a tour bus to boot, it’s clear the Ring General is here to stay — and doing it on his terms.
