Hulkamania is about to run wild in midtown Manhattan.

WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan is set to launch a brand-new, high-profile sports bar named “Slam”, located directly across the street from Madison Square Garden, an arena synonymous with Hogan’s legendary career. The project, first reported by Page Six and later confirmed by Hogan on Instagram, is a $7 million, 9,000-square-foot establishment designed to celebrate all things Hogan and pro wrestling.

The bar will be filled with memorabilia spanning Hogan’s decades-long career, from his classic matches to his iconic red and yellow gear. Guests can also expect large screens playing highlights of his most memorable moments and a wall of windows offering a direct view of MSG.

The brainchild of New York nightlife veteran Rich Rosen, the concept was pitched to Hogan in true superfan fashion.

“I basically waited 5 hours on line to get two seconds with Hulk Hogan,” Rosen told Page Six. “I came with an 8 by 11 glossy picture of Madison Square Garden, and in the picture is our [storefront]… I walked up to Hulk, I dropped the picture in front of him.”

Hogan reportedly called Rosen four days later to express his interest, and the two began putting the plan into motion.

Slam will span three floors and include a rooftop bar, with Hogan’s “Real American Beer” featured prominently on tap. While Hogan is not a direct financial stakeholder in the business, he is the branding centerpiece of the entire venture.

The sports bar is expected to open this fall, giving fans the ultimate pre- and post-event hangout right across from the World’s Most Famous Arena.
