Jey Uso Talks About His Desire To Be World Champion

Jey Uso had a breakout year as a singles star in 2024, with numerous feuds with top talents, a challenge for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, and a massive singles battle against brother Jimmy Uso at WrestleMania 40.

He also won the Intercontinental title. However, one title still eludes him: the World Heavyweight Championship.

While speaking on Cheap Heat, Uso was questioned if winning his first singles title was important to him.

He said, โ€œYeah, man, it just puts a stamp on you. If youโ€™re a wrestler, you want to hold a damn WWE Championship one time, a World Heavyweight Championship one time. I want to hold that s**t. I ainโ€™t ever thought about being a champion like that until I got the IC Title man, until โ€˜24 popped off the way it did, it built my confidence. It made me believe, hell yeah, I could be the face, Uce.โ€

Regarding aspirations to be a World Champion one day, Uso also wants that gold.

Uso stated, โ€œYeah, I want the title. Iโ€™ll take it off of anybody, just give me the shot. Gunther, whoever it is, Cody Rhodes, we can run it. Iโ€™m telling you, Iโ€™m gonna get the big one. No one believes that, just like that doubted me the whole time. Itโ€™s all good. Iโ€™m used to that. Itโ€™s just fuel to the fire. But Iโ€™m gonna get that, Iโ€™m gonna get it. Iโ€™m putting it out there right now. โ€œ
