Jim Ross: “I’m Pleasantly Surprised At How Much Logan Paul Has Developed”

Logan Paul keeps getting better. At WrestleMania, he emerged victorious in the Triple Threat Match against Kevin Owens and Randy Orton.

The United States Champion has only competed in a dozen WWE matches, but he is already being compared to legends of the past. Coming in as a celebrity, Paul has exceeded many expectations and dispelled any doubts about his commitment to professional wrestling.

Jim Ross, speaking on the “Grilling JR” podcast, had nothing but positive things to say about Paul and his work ethic. Ross discusses Logan Paul at WrestleMania:

“I think he’s overachieved. I’m pleasantly surprised at how much Logan Paul has developed. I don’t know who behind the scenes is coaching him or working with him but he’s pretty extraordinary.”

Ross added, “For somebody that’s had 12 matches and performing at the level that he has. He’s in great shape, takes amazing bumps, he’s easy to dislike.” Ross continued, “I’m a Logan Paul fan. They got a keeper right there. The fact that he’s not wrestling every week on Raw or SmackDown is probably very very smart. Inadvertedly maybe, I don’t know. It’s very smart that he’s not being overexposed while he’s getting his wrestling boots laced tight and getting used to the format, the protocol and so forth. He’s a hell of a performer. That was a great idea this PRIME thing.”

Logan Paul’s future is unknown, as he and Nina Agdal recently announced that they are expecting their first child. WWE saves Paul’s matches for big PLEs, so we can expect to see him again sometime this summer.
