Joe Hendry Explains How “I Believe In Joe Hendry” Became A Hit

TNA World Champion Joe Hendry recently opened up about the long journey behind his now-iconic entrance theme, “I Believe In Joe Hendry,” revealing how it finally found widespread success years after its original creation.

Speaking with Chris Van Vliet on Insight, Hendry shared that the theme itself hasn’t changed since his Ring of Honor days—what evolved was the presentation.

“Because in Ring of Honor, I had this song. The audio file is the exact same,” Hendry explained. “It’s almost like the difference between the British Office and the American Office… wrestling is theater, and it needs to be larger than life. I was really more focused on the nuance before… Whereas with wrestling, you have to be larger than life.”

According to Hendry, it was his time in TNA Wrestling that taught him to amplify those larger-than-life elements and truly embrace his character.

“What I learned at TNA about character development… making everything bigger and just learning who and what Joe Hendry was as a character, I allowed that to come out visually in the second entrance video that I had done,” he noted. “And I think by doing that, it just tipped it over the edge.”

The song has since become a viral sensation and a rallying chant for fans, adding yet another layer to Hendry’s growing stardom. With the TNA World Title around his waist and undeniable charisma on the mic, Joe Hendry’s star power—and theme music—continue to resonate louder than ever.
