Kevin Nash has defended Paul “Triple H” Levesque over criticism surrounding his public appearances alongside U.S. President Donald Trump, arguing that photographs of the two together should not automatically be treated as evidence of Levesque’s personal political views.

Speaking on his podcast, Nash expressed frustration with people who repeatedly send him photos of Levesque and Trump and ask him to explain them. “You know, it just—I get so fcking tired of people posting a picture of Paul next to fcking Donald Trump, and they’re both in suits and ties, and they’re like, ‘Whoa, would you like to explain this?’”

Nash pointed to Levesque’s family connection to the Trump administration through his mother-in-law, Linda McMahon. “I’m like, ‘Yeah. His mother-in-law’s fucking the Secretary of Education.’”

McMahon is Levesque’s mother-in-law through his marriage to Stephanie McMahon.

Nash’s argument was that Levesque appearing in a formal photograph with Trump should be viewed within that context rather than necessarily as a statement about his own politics. “If you’ve ever watched anything that the WWE does, you won’t see Paul Levesque in a f*cking tie. So, if he has a tie on, that’s a staged photo.”

Nash was considerably less diplomatic when addressing people who continue to interpret the photographs differently. “And if you’re that fcking stupid and that fcking naive and that just non-clairvoyant, that’s why you don’t get a fcking answer from me, because you don’t even fcking exist in my world.”

Levesque has appeared publicly with Trump on multiple occasions connected to WWE, TKO and the administration, while Linda McMahon serves as U.S. Secretary of Education.

Nash’s position is that those appearances alone are not enough for people to draw conclusions about Levesque’s personal political beliefs.
