Liv Morgan Injury Forces Major Creative Changes To WWE Evolution 2 Card

WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Liv Morgan has suffered a legitimate shoulder injury, and the aftermath is already sending shockwaves through WWE’s creative plans for the summer.

As PWMania.com previously reported, Morgan dislocated her shoulder during her match with Kairi Sane on the June 16th edition of Monday Night Raw. While the full extent of her recovery timeline remains unknown, the injury has reportedly led WWE to completely overhaul the planned card for the upcoming Evolution 2 premium live event.

During a Q&A update, WrestleVotes stated:

“I was told this morning that the injury has now caused a lot of the Evolution card to basically be scrapped, be ripped up, and start again from scratch because she was pegged for a big-time tag team match that is not going to happen now. That spot is gonna be filled by someone else and there’s a lot of ripple effects.”

The “big-time tag team match” was said to involve Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez defending their WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships against a reunited Bella Twins. Morgan had just launched a high-profile feud by attacking Nikki Bella upon her return to Raw—an angle that now appears to be in limbo.

With Evolution 2 being WWE’s first all-women’s PLE since 2018, the timing of Morgan’s injury is particularly unfortunate, and it remains to be seen how WWE will reshape the show in her absence.
