New WWE Women’s Tag Team “Dungeon Dolls” Reportedly In The Works

A new women’s tag team could soon be debuting on WWE television, and it’s rooted in one of wrestling’s most iconic legacies.

According to WrestleVotes Radio, WWE is currently in the early planning stages of forming a new tag team consisting of Natalya and Maxxine Dupri, with the proposed name “Dungeon Dolls.” The name pays homage to the legendary Hart Family Dungeon, the famed training facility run by Stu Hart, where numerous wrestling greats—including Natalya’s father Jim Neidhart and uncle Bret Hart—honed their craft.

“We are told WWE is in the planning stages of launching a new women’s tag team on television, that being Natalya and Maxxine Dupri with the proposed name of the Dungeon Dolls,” the report stated. “WWE is currently in the process of getting the name cleared for both legal presentation and merchandising.”

Veteran wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com confirmed the story, noting that the partnership between Natalya and Maxxine has been in development for a while. Meltzer added that “Dungeon Dolls” is indeed the working name being moved forward by WWE creative.

While Natalya continues to appear on WWE programming, she’s also staying active on the independent scene. She’s scheduled to wrestle at the June 18th EVOLVE event, which notably airs head-to-head with AEW Dynamite. Meltzer clarified that Natalya’s participation in EVOLVE was entirely her decision and not a sign of a WWE demotion.

Natalya has long been praised for her versatility and leadership, while Maxxine Dupri has grown increasingly popular among fans in recent months due to her comedic timing and improved in-ring performances. A pairing of the two could bring a fresh dynamic to the WWE Women’s Tag Team Division.
