On the latest episode of her podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella opened up about her June 9th, 2025 appearance on WWE RAW, reflecting on both her mispronunciation of Stephanie Vaquer’s name and her intense confrontation with WWE Women’s Champion Liv Morgan.
Bella addressed fan comments about her pronunciation slip during the segment.
“Oh my gosh, and then even though it’s only a few people that have said stuff, I can’t tell you how many times I went over Stephanie Vaquer. I feel like I’m still saying it wrong… I even was asking her, but she says it of course in a beautiful Latina accent… When I would repeat it after her, she’s like, ‘Perfect.’”
Nikki admitted nerves got the better of her.
“You get in your head. I didn’t want to get too hooked on just one last name or I’d mess up everything else. I was asking people, and they’d be like, ‘Just say it like Vaquer — like think care at the end.’ But then I wanted to say it with some spice… I’ve got to work on that.”
Nikki also shared her thoughts on being back in front of a live WWE audience and going head-to-head with Liv Morgan.
“Of course I was nervous! I haven’t been on that kind of stage in so long. But doing live podcast shows and hosting helped relax the nerves. I really wanted to deliver — to be great — and for everyone watching at home to feel it.”
She praised Liv Morgan’s energy in the segment:
“I was shocked when Liv came out like a fireball. It was incredible. She came to the ring so fast. It was insane — you could feel that energy.”
The promo segment was part of the growing tension between Liv Morgan and WWE veterans, as Liv continues her rise as Women’s Champion in 2025.
