ROH TV Results – November 9, 2023

Kicking off this week’s ROH with a recap of last week’s Women’s Title match.

We cut to video from after last week’s show where Lexy Nair & Billie Starkz waits for Athena. Athena said that she would do whatever she needed to do to for Starkz to get more violent. Athena made it clear that Starkz was on her good side for now.

Smart Mark Sterling came out bragging about his charges scoring two straight wins over that fat slob Ethan Page then Tony Nese dumps on Wichita before Serpentico came out.

Serpentico vs. Tony Nese

Nese used his power to keep Serpentico off of his feet then Nese puts Serpentico in a tree of woe before dropping into the crunch kicks.

Serpentico came back with a hurricanrana and a flatliner for a near fall before Nese came right back with a spinning heel kick and set up the pumphandle slam but Ethan Page came out with a microphone.

He was ready for group training which distracted Nese long enough to get rolled up by Serpentico to get the win.

Winner: Serpentico

After the match Page said that instead of group training he would celebrate with Serpentico.

Backstage Lexy Nair is with Action Andretti & Darius Martin & they spoke on their issues with Shane Taylor Promotions before bringing in their partners for tonight’s 8 Man Tag Team match The Infantry & they hyped themselves up for the match.

Proving Ground Match
Women’s Champion Athena vs. Heidi Howitzer

Heidi Howitzer took Athena down with a shoulder block and a big boot sending Athena out of the ring.

Athena slid out of the way of a baseball slide before dropping Howitzer with a rolling slam on the floor.

Athena clobbers on Howitzer in the ring before tossing her with a German suplex.

Howitzer tried coming back with Irish whips but Athena hops to the 2nd rope and hits a Codebreaker before she hits a forearm to score the win.

Winner: Women’s Champion Athena (3:26)

After the match Athena drills Howitzer with a superkick before throwing her into the Women’s Title.

Kyle Fletcher vs. Lee Johnson

Kyle Fletcher yanks Lee Johnson off of the turnbuckles during his entrance then he plays keep away from Johnson until Johnson caught him with a dropkick that sent him to the floor.

Johnson chases Fletcher around the ring until Fletcher caught him with a superkick and drops him on the apron with a back suplex.

Fletcher clobbers on Johnson until Johnson caught him with a back elbow before Johnson picks up the pace with clotheslines and a neckbreaker.

Johnson hits Blue Thunder Bomb for a near fall then hits Fletcher with a pair of elbows in the corner but Fletcher avoided a corner charge and hits a Michinoku Driver for a near fall.

Fletcher talks trash before catching a kick to the face then Johnson got Fletcher onto the top rope before hitting a superplex then he follows it with a frog splash for a near fall.

Fletcher hits Johnson with a dropkick before hitting the leg lariat to the back then he hits Tombstone for the win.

Winner: Kyle Fletcher

Leyla Hirsch vs. Charlette Renegade

Charlette Renegade sends Leyla Hirsch into the ropes where Robyn Renegade hits her with a forearm for a near fall. Charlette kept the advantage on offense by hitting a northern lights suplex for a near fall.

Hirsch hits a German suplex before hitting a dropkick in the corner for a near fall then Hirsch hits a Saito suplex as Robyn sat a chair on the apron.

Robyn distracted the referee to allow Charlette to grab the chair but Rachel Ellering took Robyn out with a forearm.

The ref caught Charlette with the chair and took it away allowing Hirsch to lock in a cross arm breaker to score the submission win.

Winner By Submission: Leyla Hirsch

Backstage Lexy Nair is with Women’s Champion Athena & Billie Starkz & after scolding Nair for being friendly to Willow Nightingale, Athena told Starkz to show her violent streak against Rachel Ellering tonight. Athena notes that Final Battle was in her hometown and that she couldn’t wait to see which porcelain hussy she would beat.

Tag Team Match
Iron Savages (Boulder & Bronson) vs. Griff Garrison & Cole Karter

Bronson caught Griff Garrison with a bodyslam before Garrison avoids being sent into Boulder’s chest but Cole Karter wasn’t so lucky. Karter took Boulder down but Boulder kept pressing his way out of the cover.

Boulder hit them with a double flapjack before sending Bronson to the floor as Maria Kanellis-Bennett distracted Bronson before sending him into a Karter back body drop on the ramp.

Karter and Garrison works over Bronson until he fought to make the tag to Boulder & he ran wild, hitting both men with a powerbomb/World’s Strongest Slam combination for a near fall.

Karter rolls out of the way of a Boulder step up moonsault allowing Garrison to hit a rolling elbow to the back of the head then Karter hits a 450 splash then goes for the cover but it was broken up by Bronson.

Karter sent Bronson to the floor but Boulder crashed into both Karter & Garrison with a crossbody then Iron Savages hits Transformer Splash for the win.

Winners: Iron Savages

We got a video package recapping Samoa Joe’s successful title defense against Keith Lee on Dynamite before vacating of the World Television Title. Tony Khan will make an announcement regarding the Television Title next week.

Billie Starkz vs. Rachael Ellering

Billie Starkz caught Rachael Ellering with a sunset flip then kicks Ellering in the head for a near fall. Starkz celebrated her small accomplishment allowing Ellering to come back with a senton for a near fall.

Ellering hit a gutwrench suplex to take Starkz down before chopping Starkz in the corner then hits a running uppercut and a cross leg Michinoku Driver for a near fall.

Starkz avoids Bosswoman Slam before Ellering nails Starkz with a clothesline and a forearm before Starkz ducks a clothesline and hit a spin kick but Ellering follows up with a lariat.

Starkz caught Ellering with a kick to the head before hitting a trio of German suplexes for a near fall then Ellering cuts off Starkz on the top rope then pulls her into a TKO for a near fall.

Starkz eventually sent Ellering to the floor following her out with a tope then Starkz sends Ellering into the barricade. Starks sent Ellering into the ring & she hits Swanton Bomb for the win.

Winner: Billie Starkz

After the match Athena attacks Ellering with Starkz joining in before Leyla Hirsch ran them off.

Josh Woods vs. SK Bishop

SK Bishop got a boot up on a corner charge but Woods knees him out of a high cross attempt then hit Chaos Theory for the win.

Winner: Josh Woods

8 Man Tag Team Match
Shane Taylor Promotions (Shane Taylor & Lee Moriarty) & The Wingmen (Ryan Nemeth & Peter Avalon) vs. The Infantry (Carlie Bravo & Shawn Dean), Action Andretti & Darius Martin

Match starts off with a brawl before The Infantry, Action Andretti & Darius Martin sends Shane Taylor Promotions & The Wingmen to the floor before hitting planchas onto all of them.

Taylor caught Martin and flung him into the barricade then Carlie Bravo got caught by Taylor in the ring & drops him face first on an up & over in the corner then Taylor sends Bravo into the corner buckle with a kick for a near fall.

Bravo got worked on for a while before fighting his way to a tag out to Andretti & he ran wild on The Wingmen by taking them down with a handspring elbow.

Peter Avalon accidentally punches Taylor leading to Shane Taylor Promotions knocking out The Wingmen and leaving so The Infantry hits Boot Camp on Avalon to score the win.

Winners: The Infantry, Action Andretti & Darius Martin

We go backstage Lexy Nair is with Rachael Ellering. Ellering felt like she was breaking through with Leyla Hirsch but Hirsch came in to clarify. Hirsch said that she didn’t like owing anyone so now she and Ellering are even. Maria Kanellis came in mocking their teamwork to Hirsch’s chagrin. Kanellis told Hirsch to team with Ellering and afterward she would let Hirsch know about their future.

Dralistico vs. Gravity

Dralistico sends Gravity to the floor before following him with a dive then Dralistico held control on Gravity until Gravity sent him to the floor.

Gravity hits a step up dive to the floor then Gravity fired up in the ring by hitting a headstand splash out of the corner for a near fall.

Dralistico superkicks Gravity before hitting a powerbomb for a near fall then they traded chops and running forearms before Gravity snatched Dralistico up in a powerslam.

Gravity hung up Dralistico in the ropes before hitting a splash onto him for a near fall.

Dralistico ties up Gravity in the ropes before ripping off a springboard hurricanrana for a near fall before Dralistico hits a corkscrew Destroyer to score the win.

Winner: Dralistico 

ROH World Title Match
Eddie Kingston (c) vs. Angelico

Eddie Kingston & Angelico starts this match with technique with Kingston breaking first and laying in a chop. Angelico caught a 2nd chop and turned it into a cravat before kicking Kingston in the back of the head.

They traded strikes with Angelico going after the knee then Kingston chops Angelico into the corner before hitting the Machine Gun Chops and a face wash.

Angelico counters a suplex attempt with a front facelock that he transitioned into a double wristlock that forced Kingston to the ropes.

Kingston cut off Angelico with a kitchen sink knee and clobbers on him.

Kingston drops Angelico with more chops but Angelico rolls through a uranage attempt and hits a kick that sent Kingston to the floor. Angelico follows with a dive onto Kingston.

Kingston tried to make some space but Angelico hit a diving clothesline off of the apron then Angelico hits a crossbody for a near fall.

Angelico got a near fall with a jackknife pin then tried a flash pin for a near fall before Angelico kicks Kingston in the head before locking on La Casita for a near fall.

Kingston pops up with a Backfist then goes for the cover but Angelico kicks out. Kingston lands another Backfist before hitting Northern Lights Driver for the win.

Winner & Still ROH World Champion: Eddie Kingston (STILL CHAMPION!!!!)

Backstage Dalton Castle was frustrated that he couldn’t give people the show that they deserved. He didn’t want people like Eddie Kingston muddying the airwaves saying that Kingston was throwing away his opportunities as ROH Champion. He said that Kingston was ordinary and that he wanted to give the people a ROH World Champion that they could sink their teeth into.
