Despite swirling speculation, Britt Baker is not heading to WWE — and she’s still under contract with All Elite Wrestling.
The rumor mill kicked into high gear after Jonathan Coachman made headlines on his Behind The Turnbuckle podcast. Coachman claimed that a major female star was “this close to signing with WWE,” and when his co-host floated Baker’s name, Coachman agreed, adding she was “gone from AEW” and had been “buried because she pushed back” against creative.
However, Fightful Select has officially shut down the speculation. According to the report, Baker remains signed to AEW, having inked a five-year deal in late 2021, and she has not left the company. Furthermore, a WWE source told Fightful that while Baker is always welcome backstage at WWE events — often due to her relationship with Adam Cole — there have been no discussions about her joining the company in recent years.
Britt Baker has been absent from AEW programming since November 2023, and while fans continue to speculate on her status, no official creative plans for her return have been announced at this time.
