Shelton Benjamin is set to work his first match since being released by WWE last month, and it will be a memorable bout as he faces one of TNA Wrestling’s biggest stars.

Benjamin’s first run with WWE began in 2000, when he went to OVW to train, and he was pushed to the main roster in 2002, where he was a member of Team Angle and had a lot of success with Charlie Haas as a tag team, holding the Tag Team Titles. He won the Intercontinental three times after they split and the US title once. He was released in 2010 before returning in 2017, where he spent time with Chad Gable before becoming a member of The Hurt Business alongside MVP Cedric Alexander and Bobby Lashley.

Benjamin’s last WWE match was on the September 14, 2023 episode of Main Event, when he teamed up with Alexander to defeat The Viking Raiders. He was released last September.

Prestige Wrestling has announced that Benjamin will face Josh Alexander at the Los Angeles Alive or Just Breathing event on Thursday, May 16, at the Vermont Hollywood in Los Angeles.
