Ted Dibiase On Vince McMahon Taking WWE National And Putting Territories Out Of Business

WWE Hall of Famer “The Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase recently took to an episode of his Everybodyโ€™s Got a Pod, where he talked about a number of topics including WWE Chairman Vince McMahon taking the WWE national and putting all the other territories out of business.

DiBiase said, โ€œTo Bill Wattโ€™s credit, you know, to have been treated so well. I get it. I mean, itโ€™s kinda like JYD [Junkyard Dog] youโ€™re looking at then is not the same guy I knew. You know, for you to have worked for your promotion. I mean, like, the old-school way was back when it was all territories. Now this is the beginning of Vince McMahonโ€™s basically expanding to the whole country. And in other words, I think he went around to all the promoters. This is true. He went around to all the promoters of all the territories and said, โ€˜Hereโ€™s what Iโ€™m about to do. So Iโ€™m just warning you that if you would like to join me, youโ€™re welcome to.โ€™ In other words, โ€˜if you would like to join me and take part in this,โ€™ and I donโ€™t know how he would do that. But all those promoters, including Bill, said, โ€˜no thanks,โ€™ because they had their own, they had their deal going. And I donโ€™t think anybody envisioned that Vince McMahon could take over the, you know, the entire wrestling community, But yeah, JYD was not the same guy by that time. And itโ€™s just a sad story.โ€
