WWE Hall of Famer “The Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase recently appeared on an episode of his podcast, Everybody’s Got a Pod. During this episode, he discussed various topics, including reconnecting with The Undertaker during WrestleMania week.
DiBiase said, “He’s a great guy. And yeah, I was the guy who introduced him but it’s kind of like, I don’t want the fans to think that Ted DiBiase brought The Undertaker to WWE. Basically I’m the guy who was selected to introduce him on television. And even then I was thinking, ‘Gosh, all of these characters and everything.’ Because I come from the old school, I knew that I had become a character. But anytime a character like that is introduced, it’s like, ‘Okay, it’s a great idea. He’s got the look and everything, but show me what you got in the ring.’ A lot of times, there had been characters like that before, who just looked good on the surface, but there was no wrestling ability. Mark brought it, man. He’s got it. And he’s a great guy on top of that.”
On whether John Cena should be considered among the greatest of all-time:
“He’s right up there. I think he’s right up there with the best of them. Obviously, you’re not going to — like you said, win it and lose it that many times unless there’s something about you. Irregardless of your style, if you’re that guy you have to have the ability to get in the ring with anybody and make them look good. And John could do it.”
