At WWE WrestleMania 41 Saturday, Tiffany Stratton successfully defended her Women’s Championship by defeating Charlotte Flair in a highly anticipated matchup.
Following the event, Stratton spoke with Alfred Konuwa of Forbes.com about what was said between her and Flair after the match:
“After the match, it was kind of like a sportsmanship thing, you know. We said ‘good game,’ she said she’s proud of me. But yeah, everything’s good.”
Stratton also addressed a previous segment on SmackDown that had gone “off the rails” during the build-up to their WrestleMania encounter:
“I felt like things got personal, and it’s live TV — things happen. But I feel like everything happened for a reason, and this is how things were supposed to pan out.”
Despite the tension leading into WrestleMania, Stratton’s victory and post-match moment with Flair marked a major milestone in her growing WWE career.
