TNA Sacrifice Review – March 8, 2024

Before the match Hendry got on the mic and talks about winning this Digital Media Title again after losing it in Windsor, and he knows about Steves as he showed pics of Baby Steve, Lazy Steve & 80s Steve. Before he can finish, he gets cut off by AJ Francis who goes and joins the commentary table.

Crazzy Steve (c) vs. Joe Hendry (Pre Show)

Joe Hendry starts the match in control and does his chops to Crazzy Steve before hitting a vertical suplex for a two count.

Steve takes over with stomps in the corner while mocking Hendry’s song.

Hendry tries to hit Standing Ovation but Steve escapes and sends Hendry to the outside where he gets attacked by Francis as Steve is distracting the referee.

Steve follows with Belladonna’s Kiss to get the win.

The Rascalz & Steve Maclin had a backstage interview before this match where they said they don’t need each other ringside for tonight’s matches before Maclin cut a promo on Nic Nemeth.

Tag Team Match
Speedball Mountain (Mike Bailey & Trent Seven) vs. The Rascalz (Zachary Wentz & Trey Miguel) (Pre Show)

Both teams go at it to start the match before it’s finally just Mike Bailey & Zachary Wentz.

Speedball Mountain keeps Wentz in their corner and double team while also including Trey Miguel in the mix.

They continue with 10 punches in the corner before The Rascalz escape and take advantage.

The Rascalz continue to work on Trent Seven’s leg as Bailey tries to rally up the crowd.

Seven is able to suplex Miguel off and make the hot tag to Bailey & he hits a barrage of kicks on Wentz.

Bailey & The Rascalz go at it as Bailey hits a moonsault with knees on both of them and sends them to the outside. Seven comes in and hits a superplex on Miguel.

Wentz distracts the referee as Miguel spray paints Bailey in the face but Seven is there to break up the pin attempt.

They try again but Miguel sprays Wentz in the face by accident before Speedball Mountain hits a roundhouse kick/Full Nelson slam combo for the win.

Nic Nemeth vs. Steve Maclin

Both men starts the match fast and hard with Steve Maclin trying to go for KIA right away as Nemeth escapes to the outside to regroup.

They run the ropes before Nemeth knocks down Maclin with a dropkick and splash in the corner.

Maclin dodges Nemeth in the corner before he starts attacking him on the outside against the barricades.

Back inside Maclin hits a double under hook into a backbreaker for a two count.

Maclin keeps attacking Nemeth while calling him Dolph as Nemeth tries to fight off Maclin but he comes right back with another backbreaker for a two count.

Nemeth is finally able to stop Maclin with an Angle Slam and a string of elbow drops before heading to the top rope and hitting another one for a two.

A bit of back & forth before Maclin dumps Nemeth to the outside where he meets Nemeth with a Scud Missile sends him back inside, but misses the flying headbutt.

Nemeth comes back with a Fameasser for a two count but as Maclin tries to hit a spear to Nemeth in the corner, Nemeth dodges and Maclin goes flying head first into ringside where he almost takes out Jade Chung.

A bit of back & forth inside but as Maclin hits KIA but Nemeth rolls to the outside before Nemeth hits Danger Zone at the end to get the win.

Winner: Nic Nemeth (14:22)

TNA World Tag Team Titles Match
ABC (Ace Austin & Chris Bey) (c) vs. The System (Eddie Edwards & Brian Myers)

Ace Austin & Brian Myers starts the match but Chris Bey quickly gets involved.

ABC corners Eddie Edwards and hits him with stomps as Alisha Edwards yells that they are cheating.

Bey gets sent to the outside as Austin tries to take out Edwards just to get hit with a spear from Myers on the ring apron.

With everybody else on the outside Bey tries to hit a dive just for Alisha to block him from doing so as Eddie sends Bey face first into the steel post.

The System stays in control by keeping Bey in their corner before both Austin & Edwards get the tag in and go after each other before Austin sends Edwards to the outside with a clothesline and meets him there with a crossbody.

Austin fights off both opponents before hitting a spinning kick on Edwards but it gets a two count. Edwards is able to fight off 1, 2 Sweet but Bey stops Myers with Art of Finesse.

Alisha gets on the apron to distract Bey but Bey jumps over her to land on The System.

Both teams go at it in the corner before Edwards hits Backpack System followed by the flying elbow drop from Myers then a cover but Bey is there to break up the count.

Austin tries to fight off The System but he gets tripped up by Alisha and runs right into Roster Cut from Myers and a Boston Knee Party from Edwards to get the win.

Winners & New TNA World Tag Team Champions: The System (13:22) (NEW CHAMPIONS!!!!)

No DQ Match
PCO vs. Kon

Both men are using the trash cans and punches. PCO sets up chairs on the outside but gets knocked off the apron by Kon and falls back first onto them.

PCO hits a cannonball to Kon on the outside from through the ropes.

They follow this with a cookie sheet to the head battle and work their way up the ramp where Kon drops PCO back first right into the stage a couple of times.

After the 3rd one Kon goes to snap his neck just for PCO to fight him off with a cookie sheet and chokeslams him off the stage through a table.

PCO makes his way back into the ring and fills it with chairs as Kon starts crawling his way back. PCO drops Kon on top of the chairs before hitting a PCO Sault for the win/

Winner: PCO (8:22)

We get a promo backstage from AJ Francis who talks about being real unlike Joe Hendry, and his goal now is to make sure Hendry never achieves success again. Hendry walks in and challenges Francis to a 1 on 1 match as Francis pushes him before security has to separate them. Santino Marella walks in and says this match will happen next Thursday.

Knockouts Tag Team Titles Match
MK Ultra (Masha Slamovich & Killer Kelly) (c) vs. Spitfire (Jody Threat & Dani Luna)

As Spitfire are making their entrance they get attacked from behind by MK Ultra with chains and start choking out their opponents before the bell can even ring.

Masha Slamovich takes out Dani Luna with Snow Plow on the outside before entering the ring and starting the match with Jody Threat.

Slamovich stays on top of Threat for a couple of minutes before tagging in Killer Kelly.

Luna trips up Slamovich as Threat rolls up Kelly to get the win.

Winners & New Knockouts Tag Team Champions: Spitfire (2:43) (NEW CHAMPIONS!!!)

After the match Slamovich pushes off Kelly and walks to the back.

Josh Alexander vs. Alex Hammerstone

Alex Hammerstone goes right after Josh Alexander with a pump kick to start the match.

They try to hold each other down before Alexander escapes out and tries an ankle lock.

They brawl a bit before Hammerstone clotheslines Alexander to the outside.

They fight on the apron before Hammerstone powerbombs Alexander onto it.

Hammerstone stays on the attack by working on Alexander’s back for the next couple of minutes jumping on his back from a Camel Clutch position.

Alexander is able to fight him off and hit a knee off the second rope to the back of the neck of Hammerstone.

They trade strikes for a bit with Alexander going crazy on the back of Hammerstone before trying to knock him down with clotheslines but gets stopped with a back elbow.

Alexander dodges a pump kick and hits 10 back 2 back German Suplexes.

Alexander follows this with a crossbody to Hammerstone knocking him off the apron followed by a flipping senton.

Hammerstone goes to the top rope but misses the missile dropkick as Alexander puts on the ankle lock but gets pushed off.

Alexander dodges Hammerstone & Hammerstone crashes into the referee taking him out.

Alexander puts on another ankle lock as Hammerstone is tapping out with the official being out still.

Hammerstone blocks C4 Spike and hits a low blow on Alexander followed by Nightmare Pendulum to get the win.

Winner: Alex Hammerstone (18:19)

Backstage Time Machine was interviewed where Chris Sabin & Kushida were trying to get them all on the same page despite their recent issues but Alex Shelley just said yup and walks off.

6 Man Tag Team Match
X Division Champion Mustafa Ali & Grizzled Young Vets (Zack Gibson & James Drake) vs. Time Machine (Alex Shelley, Chris Sabin & Kushida)

Mustafa Ali & Chris Sabin starts the match before Ali quickly tags out to Zack Gibson as Grizzled Young Vets works on Sabin in their corner.

Alex Shelley seems to be reluctant to come in after getting the tag but Motor City Machine Guns do end up having a face off with Grizzled Young Veterans before Ali tags himself in.

Kushida comes in as he & Ali share the ring before GYV & Ali spend some time working on Sabin before all 6 come in and start trading offense.

Ali blocks a Hoverboard Lock attempt from Kushida but Kushida ends up knocking out Ali with a Tanaka Punch as he is jumping off the corner.

Gibson kicks Kushida to break up Hoverboard Lock before putting on a double Hoverboard Lock on Grizzled Young Veterans.

Grizzled Young Veterans hits a Doomsday Device on Kushida then a cover but he kicks out at two.

They all keep battling in the ring until Sabin hits a suicide dive on Ali on the outside as The Good Hands run out but Sabin takes them out.

Time Machine starts working together and triple team Gibson & Ali but Sabin takes out Shelley in the corner by accident.

Grizzled Young Veterans hits Grit Your Teeth on Shelley followed by 450 Splash by Ali to get the win.

Winners: X Division Champion Mustafa Ali & Grizzled Young Vets (14:11)

Knockouts Title Triple Threat Match
Jordynne Grace (c) vs. Xia Brookside vs. Tasha Steelz

Xia Brookside tries to start the match by shaking Jordynne Grace’s hand but Tasha Steelz kicks it away before getting tossed to the outside by Grace.

Brookside takes down Grace with headscissors before getting pulled to the outside by Steelz. We cut to Ash By Elegance getting poured champagne on the outside.

They fight in the corner as Grace hits Steelz with a Muscle Buster not before clotheslining Brookside down.

Grace catches Brookside off the top rope but Steelz takes them down with a bulldog on Grace.

Brookside assists Steelz to hit a Sliced Bread on Grace but breaks up the pin attempt.

Grace catches both Steelz & Brookside off the corner and is able to swing them both at the same time. Unbelievable.

All 3 get caught up in a double submission before they get into the ropes and break it all up.

All 3 start fighting right in front of Ash By Elegance as Brookside hits a top rope crossbody on Grace.

Brookside ends up tossing Steelz right into Ash By Elegance as the champagne goes flying and Ash By Elegance is enraged and leaves but not before George Iceman takes a legit spill.

Brookside hits a tornado DDT on Grace then slams Steelz onto her with a Brooksi Bomb then a cover but only gets a two count.

Grace hits a Vader Bomb on Brookside then a cover but Steelz breaks the count with a splash off the corner.

Grace takes them both out including hitting Juggernaut Driver on Brookside for the win.

Winner & Still Knockouts Champion: Jordynne Grace (12:38) (STILL CHAMPION!!!!)

TNA World Title Match
Moose (c) vs. Eric Young

Eric Young dodges a spear from Moose and attacks him in the corner with 10 punches.

They fight on the outside for a bit as Young reverses a powerbomb attempt and sends Moose onto the ramp back first.

Back in the ring Moose starts ripping up the tape around Young and attacks his injured ribs.

Moose starts messing with some of the fans ringside before he starts stretching Young against the steel post.

Moose drapes Young against the apron and bottom rope and chops him.

Moose keeps stretching Young in the ring while heckling the fans as Young bites his way out of it.

Moose starts slapping Young as he encourages him to keep them coming but Moose stops any momentum with a bear hug.

They head to the top rope as Moose hits a superplex and holds on, but Young reverses into a suplex of his own.

They go back & forth before Young hits a Death Valley Driver for a two count then heads to the top rope but gets stopped by Moose.

Young pushes Moose up and hits the flying elbow drop then a cover but Moose kicks out at two.

Moose catches Young off the corner for a Sky High and gets a two of his own.

Moose sticks his thumbs in Young’s eyes as the referee was removing Moose’s elbow pad from the ring.

Young comes back and hits the Piledriver but Moose is able to get his foot on the bottom rope.

Young calls for another Piledriver but Moose pushes him off drops Young on the top rope and hits a spear then a cover but Young still kicks out at two.

They fight on the apron where Young hits another Piledriver with both of them falling to the outside.

Young follows with a 3rd piledriver on the outside sends Moose back inside and calls for a 4th piledriver just for TNA World Tag Team Champions Brian Myers & Eddie Edwards to run out and get taken out by a suicide dive from Young.

Young hits a Canadian Destroyer to Moose then a cover but Myers & Edwards pull the referee out.

The referee ends up ejecting them as a masked man shows up from behind and chokes out Young with a camera cable just to reveal himself as Frankie Kazarian.

Kazarian tosses Young back in as Moose hits a spear for the win.
