WWE fans eager to hear CM Punk’s response to John Cena’s fiery promo will have to wait a little longer.

According to a new report from PWInsiderElite.com, CM Punk is not written into the script for tonight’s episode of Monday Night Raw. Creative sources within WWE confirmed that Punk is currently not scheduled to appear on the show, despite heightened fan anticipation following Cena’s heavily discussed promo last week.

Cena’s segment — which many compared to Punk’s iconic 2011 “pipebomb” — included pointed references to their storied rivalry and career parallels. The promo sparked immediate buzz across the wrestling world, with fans expecting a follow-up confrontation between the two veterans.

However, it now appears that Punk’s on-screen response will be delayed until this week’s episode of SmackDown, which airs live this Friday from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

While WWE has yet to officially confirm the segment for SmackDown, moving the continuation of this high-profile storyline to an international setting adds extra intrigue and global attention ahead of the company’s premium live event weekend.
