WWE fans eager to hear CM Punkโs response to John Cenaโs fiery promo will have to wait a little longer.
According to a new report from PWInsiderElite.com, CM Punk is not written into the script for tonightโs episode of Monday Night Raw. Creative sources within WWE confirmed that Punk is currently not scheduled to appear on the show, despite heightened fan anticipation following Cenaโs heavily discussed promo last week.
Cenaโs segment โ which many compared to Punkโs iconic 2011 โpipebombโ โ included pointed references to their storied rivalry and career parallels. The promo sparked immediate buzz across the wrestling world, with fans expecting a follow-up confrontation between the two veterans.
However, it now appears that Punkโs on-screen response will be delayed until this weekโs episode of SmackDown, which airs live this Friday from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
While WWE has yet to officially confirm the segment for SmackDown, moving the continuation of this high-profile storyline to an international setting adds extra intrigue and global attention ahead of the company’s premium live event weekend.
