PWMania.com has learned of a recent injury update concerning WWE Intercontinental Champion Dominik Mysterio. According to a new report from PWInsider, Mysterio is currently dealing with a rib injury that has impacted his in-ring status.
The setback, while notable, is not expected to sideline him for an extended period. However, it was significant enough for WWE officials to cancel his scheduled Intercontinental Championship defense against AJ Styles at this Saturday’s Night of Champions premium live event.
WWE made the official announcement during the June 23rd edition of Monday Night Raw, confirming that the highly anticipated title bout would no longer take place due to Mysterio’s condition.
