WWE is looking to bring on fresh talent as it nears completion of its acquisition from The Endeavor Group and merger with the UFC.
SummerSlam, the company’s next premium live event, will take place on Saturday, August 5, 2023, at Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan.
The show’s matchups have yet to be released, but you can see the internal matches planned for it here.
WWE intends to hold talent tryouts during SummerSlam week in Detroit, with Performance Center coach Matt Bloom on hand to oversee the tryout camp, according to PWInsider.
The company is also expected to have more WWE NXT coaches and personnel. Big E has previously assisted at tryouts.
As of this writing, it’s unknown whether WWE would allow independent wrestlers or if the tryouts will be limited to athletes, as it has in the past.
