“Beautiful Madness” has officially arrived on Friday nights, as international sensation Giulia made her long-anticipated WWE SmackDown debut. During the May 17 edition of SmackDown, General Manager Nick Aldis formally introduced Giulia as the latest acquisition to the blue brand, immediately sending shockwaves through the women’s division.
The debut confirmed Giulia’s decision to branch out on her own, a move heavily hinted at during this week’s episode of WWE Raw, where she teamed with Roxanne Perez in a losing effort against Iyo Sky and Rhea Ripley. In the aftermath, Giulia coldly told Perez, “there is no we,” effectively severing ties and hinting at her solo path.
True to her word, Giulia arrived on SmackDown alone and unflinching. Her introduction segment was interrupted by Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair, the latter of whom had a tense, extended staredown with the former NJPW STRONG Women’s Champion before Aldis pulled Flair aside for a private meeting about the upcoming Money in the Bank Premium Live Event.
After the show, Giulia took to social media to send a clear message to the locker room—and perhaps Roman Reigns himself—by boldly proclaiming her mission to sit at “the head of the SmackDown table.”
With her commanding presence and already established legacy in Japan, Giulia’s debut signals a new era for the blue brand. One thing is certain—SmackDown’s women’s division just got a lot more dangerous.
