WWE will alter wrestlers’ personas, gimmicks, names, entrances into the ring, and attire in order to suit their desired direction. This was just recently displayed.
Los Lotharios (Angel Garza and Humberto Carrillo) have undergone significant changes in the last year after not being used on the main roster.
Angel and Humberto began working together on Raw in September 2021 before moving to NXT last year, where they had been doing vignettes featuring their grandfather with the premise that he was a major superstar. Things changed when they joined Santos Escobar on the main roster in December as part of their feud with LWO.
Earlier this month, WWE.com revealed that the two stars go by the names Angel and Humberto. There has been another change, at least for Humberto.
As seen below, WWE has officially changed Humberto Carrillo’s name to ‘Berto.’
