TNA Wrestling star Zoey Serrano appeared on Ring The Belle to discuss various topics, including whether she considers her decision not to feud with WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus a missed opportunity.
Serrano said, “Yeah. Yeah, yeah. It could have taken my career down a different path. But that’s okay. Things happen for a reason and we just — we roll with the punches, you know?”
On if she knew it was Stratus’ last appearance:
“I did, yeah. I found out that day. We kind of had — it wasn’t like a talk of like, ‘This is definitely my last appearance.’ It was just more of, ‘As of right now, this is just what’s kind of happening and we’ll see what happens after.’ And we wanted to do something together, and it just didn’t work out, you know? That’s just how wrestling works. Not everything works out the way you want it to.”
On how she came up with her Z360 finisher:
“So my friend Matt Vandagriff — he’s an indie wrestler and if you don’t know who he is, look him up because he is insanely athletic. We were just playing around, because I just wanted something different. That’s all I knew. I didn’t know what I wanted to be or anything like that, I just knew something different. [It] really just came from him. I really can’t even take the credit.”
