On the most recent “Kliq This” podcast, Kevin Nash confirmed that he is not on WWE payroll and clarified why he will not be at Sting’s final match.
Nash previously stated that Sting invited him to the event, but Nash was unable to attend due to his affiliation with WWE.
โI never said that (that I was on the WWE payroll),” Nash said. “What I said is Iโm a WWE guy. I canโt have a picture of me in the crowd and underneath it says, โIs all Elite.โ I just canโt have that. It just doesnโt work. One of my closest fu**ing friends is Paul Levesque. As much as I love Steve and I know he will only have one last match, I will watch it. We will talk about it. I havenโt been to a WrestleMania, a RAW, a SmackDown, or any of the other pay-per-views. I havenโt been to any events. I donโt want to go to any place and be around a bunch of people, let alone wrestling people. I just donโt want to do it. Iโm a hermit and thatโs it.โ
Kevin Nashโs co-host said, โI thought a couple weeks ago that the โCody Craziesโ, that it was genuine. Now I think theyโre loving Rock as a heel.โ
Nash responded, โThatโs why I said all along the money is Dwayne in any form or fashion. If Babe Ruth, if you can get him to come back in a time machine and play for the Yankees, he would be the most over motherfu**er on the Yankees squad. Heโs Babe Ruth. When youโre a shell of yourself and you were a superstar, thatโs one thing. Like, even John Cena is much smaller and heโs losing his hair. Heโs showing age. Rock is like Yule Brenner. Every time I see โThe Ten Commandmentsโ and Yul Brenner is walking around, Iโm like The Rock stole his sh*t from Yul Brenner.โ
