At the 2025 WWE Royal Rumble PLE, Jey Uso and Charlotte Flair won their respective Royal Rumble matches, securing world title opportunities at WrestleMania 41. However, the booking decisions sparked mixed reactions among fans, with some expressing disappointment over the outcomes.
Appearing on The Pat McAfee Show, Jey Uso addressed the criticism and responded to those who were โbummed outโ by his victory:
โThatโs them, Uce. Thatโs their opinion. They donโt strap my boots every week. Theyโre not on the road every week. They donโt take the bumps, do the handshakes, or handle the behind-the-scenes grind no one seesโearly flights, rental cars. Weโre not traveling with security guards. Iโm in the trenches like everybody else.โ
โI donโt pay any mind to that. I donโt need it. Iโm focusedโtunnel vision. Either hop on the train or get off the train. There are a lot of haters out there, Uce. They talk because they canโt walk it. But Iโm excited. Iโm all positive. I never thought I would be at this level. Now Iโm here, and Iโve got places to go. Yeet.โ
Despite the backlash, Jey remains confident and is looking ahead to WrestleMania 41, where he will challenge for a world championship.
