Former WWE star Maven has addressed ongoing internet speculation about his sexuality in a candid video posted to his YouTube channel, directly responding to assumptions that have circulated online.
โMost people just assumeโand I donโt know whyโthat I am [gay],โ Maven said. โI guess, you know, like Jerry Seinfeld said, โIโm clean, Iโm neat, and I take care of myself.โ I guess that makes me gay. I am not. I have 48 years of unblemished heterosexuality.โ
While clarifying that he isnโt bothered by the rumors, Maven made it clear he has no judgment toward others:
โIf youโre gay, thatโs fine. I donโt judge people, never have, never will. The fact that people judge me, does it bother me? Not really. If you think Iโm gay and that makes you happy, keep thinking it. I could care less.โ
He also opened up about his personal life, revealing that although heโs never been married, he has been in a long-term relationship:
โNot married, never been married, more than likely never will be married. Iโve been with the same girl for 13 years. So, are we married? No, technically on paper by law, we are not. But, I mean, after 13 yearsโฆ common law marriage is seven, weโve been together 13, so weโre almost at double common law.โ
Maven wrapped up the topic with a bit of humor:
โIโm not married, but Iโm settled down. Sorry ladies and gay men.โ
