WWE Hall of Famer Kane (Glen Jacobs), the mayor of Knox County, Tennessee, appeared on SiriusXMโ€™s โ€œOff The Ropesโ€ podcast to discuss various topics, including his potential plans for a retirement match with the company.

Kane said, โ€œ[Laughs] I donโ€™t know about that, man. We were just talking about athleticism and movement and keeping up with the pace of people nowadays. That may have left me behind, guys.โ€

On if he misses the business:

โ€œYeah. I donโ€™t miss the travel [laughs], but I think thatโ€™s a lot better nowadays. They donโ€™t keep the schedule that we did. You know, itโ€™s become even more of a TV product, which I would assume is probably even more stressful than what we had. But nevertheless, yeah, I do, man. Because itโ€™s fun to go out there and entertain, itโ€™s fun to interact with the fans and the people who love pro wrestling, who love WWE. I still get that, and it is the coolest thing ever. You know, one of my great regrets is I wish I had appreciated that more early in my career and then even throughout my career. The fact that you really are, man โ€” people are watching you, youโ€™re entertaining them. And in many cases, youโ€™re taking them from what could be a tough situation in their own life and they get to forget it about for a little bit by coming into this fantasy world. Man, thatโ€™s a blessing. Itโ€™s a gift, and itโ€™s really cool. And I do miss that part of it.โ€

Kane began his professional wrestling career in the early 1990s and was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in the 2021 class.
