The VSU Multipurpose Center in St. Petersburg, Virginia, announced on its Instagram account that the reigning Undisputed WWE Champion, CM Punk, will be making a special appearance at a WWE NXT Live Event on Saturday, August 15, at the venue.
Punk also shared the news on his Instagram stories to promote the upcoming event. There is currently no information on whether Punk will compete in the show or simply make an appearance, but updates will be provided as they become available.
Additionally, the event will feature appearances by Tony D’Angelo, Kendal Grey, Myles Borne, ZARIA, The Vanity Project, Cruz Montana, Naraku, BirthRight, Shiloh Hill, EK Prosper, and Jaida Parker.
Punk recently defended his title against “The American Nightmare,” Cody Rhodes, at WWE SummerSlam Night One, with interference from “The Viper,” Randy Orton. Punk is scheduled to defend his title against “The Prize Fighter,” Kevin Owens, on the August 21 episode of SmackDown.
