Netflix’s censorship of taped WWE programming once again became noticeable during the August 31 episode of WWE Raw from Cleveland, Ohio.
Fans watching the tape-delayed broadcast quickly noticed several apparent edits during the opening minutes of the show, particularly during the parking lot attack involving newly formed faction Royce Keys and OTM.
The group attacked The Usos as part of the opening angle, but the version shown on Netflix featured several noticeable alterations.
At various points during the segment, The Usos’ faces were blurred, while viewers also noticed abrupt and choppy edits throughout the attack. Additional language was censored at different points during the episode.
The edits immediately attracted attention from fans watching the broadcast, particularly given the recent pattern surrounding WWE episodes that are taped in advance rather than airing live on Netflix.
Similar censorship has been noticeable on other taped WWE broadcasts in recent months.
A Becky Lynch promo was previously edited for the Netflix broadcast, while another notable example involved Brock Lesnar and Oba Femi giving each other the middle finger from opposite sides of the Hell In A Cell structure, with the gestures censored from the broadcast.
The August 31 episode of Raw continued that trend, with the edits during the opening Bloodline attack being particularly noticeable due to the blurring and abrupt cuts used throughout the segment.
