Former WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton made history by becoming only the second woman ever to win the Money in the Bank briefcase twice. However, her victory didn’t come without challenges, as she had to power through significant pain following a rough landing earlier in the match.
At the beginning of the bout, Stratton took out the other competitors with a Swanton Bomb off a ladder, but she landed hard, hitting her head on the floor.
After the event, Stratton participated in the Money in the Bank post-show, where she discussed several topics, including the frightening moment during the match. She revealed that she informed the medical team of her intention to continue competing despite experiencing neck pain. Stratton also admitted that she was still feeling discomfort in her neck.
Stratton said, “Oh my gosh, I haven’t even recovered yet. I’m sitting here; my neck still hurts, but I wanted to do anything it took to get that briefcase. So, I told medical, ‘I was okay! I want to still power through this match and get through it.’ Because what’s a ladder match without Tiffy in it? So, I powered through it, and we’re back in the end.”
