Top 3 Moments Of WWE Money In The Bank 2026

WWE Money In The Bank
WWE Money In The Bank

On Saturday, October 10th, WWE returned to the Smoothie King Center in Louisiana for one of its biggest shows of the year, Money In The Bank. This is a show that has made stars, and with another Money In The Bank event upon us, would another star be made? Only time would tell. The main event of the show saw Penta, Bron Breakker, CM Punk, Je’Von Evans, Kevin Owens, and Trick Williams compete in the Men’s Money In The Bank Ladder match.

We also saw the Women’s Money In The Bank Ladder match as Tiffany Stratton, Jacy Jayne, Lash Legend, Lola Vice, Roxanne Perez, and Sol Ruca fought for their shot at history. Also, Roman Reigns put his World Heavyweight Championship on the line against LA Knight to kick off the show; Oba Femi battled Bronson Reed, and Stephanie Vaquer put her Women’s World Championship on the line against Becky Lynch and Liv Morgan. So, what are the top three moments of the event?

3. Tiffany Stratton Once Again Captures The Money In The Bank Briefcase

Kicking off the list, in the second match of the show, we saw Tiffany Stratton, Jacy Jayne, Lash Legend, Lola Vice, Roxanne Perez, and Sol Ruca each try to punch their ticket to win the Women’s Money In The Bank briefcase. There were quite a few favorites in this match. For example, Roxanne Perez was my personal favorite. However, it would have also been interesting to see Jacy Jayne, Sol Ruca, Lola Vice, or Lash Legend get their shot. Spoiler alert: we got none of that.

The women took center stage and delivered a fantastic Money In The Bank match. We saw everything from Perez hitting a moonsault onto both Ruca and Legend, who were down on a ladder; Ruca hitting a frog splash on Legend through a ladder that was positioned on the apron and announce table; and Lola Vice locking in a choke on Jayne on the top of a ladder, which sent both ladies crashing and burning down to the floor. The only unfortunate part of this match was the ending.

The ending saw Tiffany Stratton become a two-time Money In The Bank winner. She is now the second woman in history to win two Money In The Bank ladder matches. Now, I like Stratton as much as the next guy. However, to say I would have preferred at least three other names over her in this match would be an understatement. Roxanne Perez was right there. Anywho, congratulations, Stratton, for making history.

2. Roman Reigns Retains, 946 Makes Their Presence Felt

The event kicked off with Roman Reigns putting his World Heavyweight Championship on the line against LA Knight. Following his successful SummerSlam title defense, Reigns celebrated his title win on the following episode of Monday Night Raw. He was interrupted by LA Knight, who said that he wanted a title shot. Since then, Knight remained a thorn in the side of Reigns and the entire Bloodline, except for Solo Sikoa.

At first, Reigns denied Knight’s challenge because he “didn’t deserve it.” Following the AAA Lucha Libre Tournament conclusion and Reigns successfully defending the title against Penta, Knight once again struck. Reigns finally accepted Knight’s challenge, hoping to put an end to him once and for all. While these two have faced off before, this was by far their best match against one another. Knight truly looked like a star.

The Megastar brought everything he had to Reigns in this one. He did everything he could to put Roman away, and survived a lot of the Tribal Chief’s best attacks. Reigns proved why he’s the champion to beat and landed three Superman punches, followed by a spear to put Knight away. Following the match, 946, Royce Keys, Bronco Nima, and Lucien Price arrived and taunted Reigns from the crowd. The Bloodline made their way down, and we had a brawl on our hands. Very excited to see this rivalry explode at Survivor Series in a little over a month.

1. Penta Takes Home Money In The Bank

The main event of the night saw the Men’s Money In The Bank take center stage as Penta, Bron Breakker, CM Punk, Je’Von Evans, Kevin Owens, and Trick Williams each try to become the next Mr. Money In The Bank. Only one would be able to unhook the briefcase, and this match was unbelievably stacked. There were quite a few favorites, and truthfully, each of these men could have a serious argument as to why they should have won the Money In The Bank briefcase.

The men took center stage in the main event, and the stars of tomorrow showed up and showed out. We saw so many big moments, including Breakker hitting a double G suplex on Penta and CM Punk, Breakker hitting a Jeff Hardy-esque running-on-the-barricade move on Williams, Breakker hit a spear on Je’Von Evans, sending him out in an ambulance, Evans return driving said ambulance into the arena, and perhaps the biggest moment of the match, Breakker sending Je’Von Evans crashing through the roof of the ambulance off the top of a ladder. This was INSANE.

The ending of this epic confrontation saw Penta hit a Mexican Destroyer on Breakker on a ladder and climb the ladder and take the briefcase. Personally, I was rooting for Bron Breakker, but I can’t be mad at Penta taking the win here. I’m just glad it wasn’t Punk. I have a lot of hopes for Penta after seeing his World Heavyweight Championship match in Mexico City against Reigns, and it appears WWE does too. It may be a matter of time before Penta has a World Championship around his waist. Great match. Great show.
