According to Variety.com, the deal for Fox to acquire Roku, first announced in June, has been approved by shareholders of both Fox Corp. and Roku. The voting took place on Wednesday during separate meetings, with 99% of Fox shareholders supporting the deal. The report indicates that the acquisition values Roku at $22 billion, priced at $160 per share, with approximately $14.2 billion in cash and the remainder in Fox Class A common stock.

Fox anticipates completing the acquisition in the first half of 2027, pending approval from the Justice Department and other regulatory agencies. In the initial announcement, Fox and Roku pledged to “continue operating Roku as an open, partner-friendly platform and ensure the widespread distribution of FOX content.”

Roku currently offers a substantial amount of wrestling content, including a WWE NXT channel that streams on the Roku Channel the day after its original broadcast. It has also previously featured NJPW content as part of its free wrestling offerings through platforms like Wrestling Central.
