TNA Wrestling has announced that Santino Marella has re-signed with the promotion and will continue in his role as the Director of Authority.
Marella has served as the Director of Authority for nearly four years, making appearances on-screen and even going up against his real-life daughter, Arianna Grace, who is a star in WWE NXT. Additionally, he has been involved in a power struggle with TNA’s Director of Operations, Daria Rae (also known as Sonya Deville).
Before joining TNA, Marella was a former WWE star, making his debut in April 2007 and remaining with the company until his release in May 2016. During his time in WWE, he achieved significant success, becoming a two-time Intercontinental Champion, a United States Champion, and a WWE Tag Team Champion alongside Vladimir Kozlov. Notably, in 2009, he won the Miss WrestleMania Battle Royal at WrestleMania 25 by competing as “Santina Marella.”
