AEW Rampage Review – February 2, 2024

Tag Team Match
Private Party (Isiah Kassidy & Marq Quen) vs. Top Flight (Dante Martin & Darius Martin)

Dante Martin hits a chop to Marq Quen before Dante responds with an uppercut and a splash in the corner then tags in Darius. Top Flight hits double kicks to Quen.

Dante tags in and Darius hits a Manhattan Drop to Quen before Top Flight then double teams on him but Kassidy tags in and delivers a shoulder to Darius’ midsection.

He follows it up with an enzuigiri to his head and a blockbuster into the ring then tags Quen back in.

Private Party double teams on Darius & Quen rolls him up as Action Andretti points out his hand on the rope and gets in his face allowing Darius to roll Quen up but Quen kicks out.

After the break Kassidy tags in and Darius sends him crashing into the mat. Dante tags in and ascends to the top rope & hits a crossbody.

Darius double teams on Kassidy with Dante but Kassidy lands a tornado DDT on Dante and tags Quen back in.

Quen delivers a shooting star press off the top and goes for a pin but Darius breaks the fall.

Kassidy goes after him but Darius levels him on the outside with a tope suicida then back in the ring. Dante lands a modified Sidewalk Slam for the win.

Winners: Top Flight

After the match Top Flight extends their hand to Private Party but they mock them and makes their way to the back.

Non Title Match
AEW World Tag Team Champions Ricky Starks & Big Bill vs. Dark Order (John Silver & Alex Reynolds)

Dark Order fire off right and left hands on Ricky Starks as Evil Uno holds onto Big Bill’s ankle from the outside to prevent him from helping Starks.

Alex Reynolds delivers a knee to Starks’ midsection then tags in John Silver.

Silver powerbombs Starks as Reynolds holds his knees up and connects with a German suplex. Reynolds & Bill tag in and Bill hits a double clothesline to Dark Order.

He hits splashes to Dark Order in opposite corners then rains down right hands on Reynolds.

Uno hops up on the apron and Bill delivers a boot to his head as Reynolds dumps him out of the ring and looks to fly but Bill intercepts him.

Reynolds then manages to hit a boot to the side of his head and sends him crashing into the ring post with Silver’s help. Bill & Reynolds get back into the ring and Bill hits a slam.

Starks & Silver tag in and Starks hits a clothesline and a body slam to him before landing the Roshambo for the win.

Winners: AEW World Tag Team Champions Ricky Starks & Big Bill

Queen Aminata vs. Willow Nightingale

Match starts off with a lock up before Willow Nightingale hits a shoulder tackle but Aminata rolls her up.

Nightingale kicks out and delivers a body slam to Aminata then follows it up with a low crossbody.

The action then spills to the outside and Aminata trips Nightingale on the apron as we go to a break.

After the break Aminata hits a hip attack to Nightingale before Aminata hits a German suplex to Nightingale but Nightingale catches her with a cannonball in the corner and a Death Valley Driver then follows it up with Babe With The Powerbomb for the win.

Winner: Willow Nightingale

After the match Nightingale extends her hand to Aminata and Aminata shakes it.

We then head backstage to Renee Paquette is with Best Friends & International Champion Orange Cassidy says he knows that Undisputed Kingdom would show up, and the group does. Cassidy says that he wanted them to show up then suggests they all face each other in an 8 Man Tag Team match. Adam Cole modifies that idea to a Trios match between Roderick Strong, Mike Bennett & Matt Taven & Cassidy, Trent Beretta & Rocky Romero due to Chuck Taylor’s injury and they agree.

After the break we see The Outcasts get into a verbal exchange with Willow Nightingale & Kris Statlander.

8 Man Tag Team Match
Mascara Dorada, Hechicero, Volador Jr & Mistico vs Christopher Daniels, Matt Sydal, Matt Menard & Angelo Parker

Mascara Dorada & Matt Sydal lock up to get this match before Matt Sydal hits a hurricanrana to Dorada but Dorada responds with one of his own.

Volador Jr & Matt Menard tag in and Volador Jr hits a hurricanrana to Menard then follows it up with a superkick.

Christopher Daniels & Mistico then tag in and Daniels connects with an arm drag Mistico delivers a back elbow and a springboard crossbody then hits a springboard arm drag and an enzuigiri.

Hechicero tags in and hits a springboard dropkick as Mistico holds Daniels in place.

Dorada tags back in and Mistico hits a kick then hits a backbreaker and Dorada follows it up with a shooting star press then goes for a pin but Sydal breaks the fall.

Dorada hits an overhand chop to Daniels but Daniels delivers a kick to his face and tags Daddy Magic back in.

Menard & Angelo Parker clear the ring before Sydal becomes legal and flies then pins Dorada but Dorada kicks out then Sydal locks in a Bow & Arrow as we go to a break.

After the break Dorada hits a kick to Parker and tags in Hechicero. Daniels tags in and Hechicero sends him crashing into the mat but Daniels connects with a jawbreaker.

Hechicero ascends to the top rope and flies before Sydal delivers a kick to his head. Volador takes him down but Menard catches him with a clothesline.

Hechicero hits Menard with a dropkick and Daniels catches him with a reverse STO.

Mascara ascends to the top and hits an arm drag to Sydal then goes flying over the top rope to take everyone out on the outside.

Inside the ring Hechicero delivers a back body drop to Daniels and follows it up with a running knee then takes Daniels for a ride around the ring and pins him for the win.

Winners: Mascara Dorada, Hechicero, Volador Jr & Mistico
