WWE and MLW’s ongoing antitrust lawsuit is expected to be officially settled within the next 30 days, pending some paperwork.

The lawsuit was originally filed by Major League Wrestling last year, but it was amended in March. The suit accused WWE of violating the Sherman Antitrust Act in the US market for pro wrestling content, attempting to undermine competition in MLW’s pursuit of media distribution deals, and attempting to hire contracted talent away from the company.

It was claimed that WWE’s agreement with Peacock aided its antitrust case by keeping non-WWE wrestling content off the service, including REELZ, a platform that aired MLW Underground at the time.

According to PWInsider, there is a lot of joy among MLW talent upon hearing the news, with the hope that MLW can move forward with finding a new TV deal and focusing on the future rather than the legal battle.

MLW owner Court Bauer told talent at a show last week in New York City that announcements were on the way. He also stated that he plans to run more shows in newer and older markets next year.
