Backstage News On WWE’s Plans For Giulia Following Recent Injury

As PWMania.com previously reported, international pro wrestling star Giulia has suffered a significant injury to her right wrist at Marigold’s debut event. The severity of the injury has been confirmed by doctors, who have diagnosed a fracture. This unfortunate circumstance will result in Giulia’s absence from the Hana Kimura Memorial Show on May 23rd and other upcoming events.

According to Fightful Select, sources in NXT are hopeful that Giulia will be healed in time for their upcoming Heatwave event and WWE is still targeting an NXT Women’s Title Match between her and Roxanne Perez for the July 7th show, but those plans are no longer set in stone and could change at any given time depending on Giulia’s obligations to Marigold and her injury.

The report also noted that Giulia will still compete in Marigold once she starts in NXT and is already booked for the company’s Summer Destiny event on July 13th. Giulia is expected to lead the next talent class at the WWE Performance Center, and WWE is not looking to make big changes to her as they signed her for “who she is.”

Giulia is said to have been very outgoing and polite to the NXT talents and higher ups and WWE is not concerned about the language issue and a source pointed out how IYO SKY, Asuka, Kairi Sane and others have been speaking their native language on WWE TV. It was also mentioned that WWE has been impressed by Giulia’s commitment to learning English and it is not expected that her appearances in Marigold is going to impact or affect her appearance with WWE.
