WWE star Chad Gable recently appeared on The Ringer Wrestling Show, discussing various topics, including his Shorty G nickname and whether he faced any challenges.

Gable said, โ€œNo, thatโ€™s never been a real thing and not an issue. The funny part about it is, when I was Shorty G for awhile, I was doing a lot of backstage stuff where people talk about it. Half the people I was doing it with, I was either as tall as or they were an inch taller than me. Iโ€™m like, โ€˜This doesnโ€™t quite make a ton of sense.โ€™โ€

On how he begged for a storyline opportunity at the time:

โ€œI had begged for an opportunity at the time. Anything, because I wasnโ€™t doing anything. Who am I to complain if theyโ€™re going to give me something? I have to use it to the best of my ability. I wasnโ€™t going to boo boo face it. โ€˜Oh, this is not what I wanted to do.โ€™ It was something. In the grand scheme of things, we can look back on it now and itโ€™s one of those things we just discussed, if youโ€™re in it for the long run, itโ€™s something I had to overcome and get through.โ€

On how he dealt with it:

โ€œHad I put my boo boo face on and took my ball and went home and said, โ€˜Iโ€™m done with this crap,โ€™ then where would we be now? Iโ€™m in the best spot Iโ€™ve ever been in and itโ€™s partially because of the Shorty G period. You can look at it in a negative way or you can find the silver lining.โ€
