WWE star Chad Gable recently appeared on The Ringer Wrestling Show, discussing various topics, including his Shorty G nickname and whether he faced any challenges.
Gable said, โNo, thatโs never been a real thing and not an issue. The funny part about it is, when I was Shorty G for awhile, I was doing a lot of backstage stuff where people talk about it. Half the people I was doing it with, I was either as tall as or they were an inch taller than me. Iโm like, โThis doesnโt quite make a ton of sense.โโ
On how he begged for a storyline opportunity at the time:
โI had begged for an opportunity at the time. Anything, because I wasnโt doing anything. Who am I to complain if theyโre going to give me something? I have to use it to the best of my ability. I wasnโt going to boo boo face it. โOh, this is not what I wanted to do.โ It was something. In the grand scheme of things, we can look back on it now and itโs one of those things we just discussed, if youโre in it for the long run, itโs something I had to overcome and get through.โ
On how he dealt with it:
โHad I put my boo boo face on and took my ball and went home and said, โIโm done with this crap,โ then where would we be now? Iโm in the best spot Iโve ever been in and itโs partially because of the Shorty G period. You can look at it in a negative way or you can find the silver lining.โ
