Create A Pro Wrestling Presents MadHouse Results And Review (10/13/23)

On Friday, October 13th, Create A Pro Wrestling held its big event, MadHouse. The show featured the return of Kris Statlander for the first time since May of 2022, to the place where it all began for her as she teamed with her trainers Pat Buck and Brian Myers to take on Gabby Forza and Birds of the Sun.

The show was headlined by an incredible main event that saw Bryce Donovan put his Create A Pro Championship on the line against Aaron Rourke, but that’s not all as the show also saw a lot of other great matches and moments. Read the results and review below.

Create A Pro Mayhem Medal match: The Sweeper (c) vs. TJ Crawford

The show started with The Sweeper defending his Create A Pro Mayhem Medal against the “Silver Sniper” himself, TJ Crawford. The Sweeper remains one of the most over wrestlers in Create A Pro. The match itself was a great opening match, and it saw Sweeper win with a roll-up, continuing to be the ultimate underdog at Create A Pro.

Winner: And Still Create A Pro Mayhem Medal Owner, The Sweeper

After the match, the two men shook hands and showed a sign of respect to each other. TJ Crawford remains one of the top unsigned wrestlers on the independent scene today.

Create A Pro Women’s Championship Tournament First-Round match: Nat Castle (w/ Sebastian Amor) vs. Zuleyka

This match was a great match for two of the newest talents at Create A Pro. This match also marked Zuleyka’s singles debut, as she looked to get past “Latina Spice” herself, Nat Castle. However, due to Amor’s antics getting the best of Zuleyka, Castle was able to lock in her finishing move and force Zuleyka to tap.

Winner: Nat Castle (w/ Sebastian Amor)

Amor continues to be a great mouthpiece for Castle, and I cannot say enough good things about this match. While both competitors were still very new, everyone started somewhere and this was an incredible first singles match for Zuleyka, and on the other side of things Nat Castle continues to improve every time she’s in the ring.

Create A Pro Tag Team Championship match: MidLife Express (c) vs. Adrenaline Express

This could have very well been a match-of-the-night contender. MidLife Express (CPA and Kevin Tibbs) took on Adrenaline Express (VSK and Eric James) and it got off to the right foot when CPA made his way down to the ring singing “My Sacrifice” with the fans. James got the ref involved and used him to his advantage getting the best of Tibbs. Ultimately, after a great back-and-forth match, VSK pinned CPA after a double-team move to win the match and the titles.

Winner: And New Create A Pro Tag Team Champions, Adrenaline Express

This match was honestly awesome. Many fans were sad to see MidLife Express finally drop the Create A Pro Tag Team Championships, but the fact that they went to a talented team like Adrenaline Express made it much better.

Kris Statlander, Brian Myers, and Pat Buck vs. Gabby Forza, and Birds of the Sun

This was one of the big showcase matches of the night. This night marked the homecoming of Kris Statlander to the place where it all began. The match itself was very fun, and a big moment that came during the match came when Forza and Statlander had their first faceoff.

Fans went absolutely nuts, and it was a sight to see. Forza, who is still fairly new to the scene at Create A Pro, quickly gained the fans’ admiration. Ultimately, after a fantastic back-and-forth six-person tag team match, Statlander hits her finisher on Forza to win the match.

Winners: Kris Statlander, Brian Myers, and Pat Buck

After the match, Leo Sparrow and GKM looked to take their frustrations out on Forza. However, Statlander made the save and Forza and Statlander fended off the Birds of the Sun. Forza, Statlander, Myers, and Buck stood tall in the ring to celebrate. The big story coming out of this match is when will we see Gabby Forza and Kris Statlander meet one-on-one. Fantastic match.

Create A Pro Women’s Championship First-Round match: Little Mean Kathleen vs. Shannon LeVangie

This match marked the final first-round match in the Create A Pro Women’s Championship tournament. So far, Gabby Forza, Notorious Mimi, and Nat Castle made it to the second round. This match was a fun back-and-forth match that ultimately saw Little Mean Kathleen move on.

Winner: Little Mean Kathleen

It was awesome to see both Little Mean Kathleen and Shannon LeVangie do their thing. Despite losing, LeVangie in a Create A Pro ring just feels right, and hopefully, she will be back sooner rather than later. The talent at Create A Pro truly has all the potential in the world.

Create A Pro Television Championship MadHouse Street Fight: Bobby Orlando (c) vs. Jake Lang

This match was the definition of all hell breaking loose. Weapons were scattered throughout the match and were made good use of. One of the coolest spots of the match came when Orlando hit a springboard crossbody on Lang through a door. Ultimately though, The Artist would use his painting on Orlando, and hit his finisher on Orlando on a door and trash can to win the match and the belt.

Winner: And New Create A Pro Television Champion, Jake Lang

After the match, the crowd sang Orlando his praises. Orlando was the Create A Pro Television Champion for a long time. However, Jake Lang is a very viable champion, and it will be interesting to see where things go from here.

Halloween Costume Battle Royale match

This match has become somewhat of a favorite for many Create A Pro fans, myself included. The match is a Royal Rumble-style 20-man costume battle royale. Some fun costumes tonight included Wario, Waluigi, Bowser, Peaches, The Riddler, Stang, Steve Bolieve, amongst others.

Ultimately, the final two were Nick Robes and Headband Ken. Headband Ken would unmask to reveal he was in fact Evil Kip who was banned from Create A Pro. Sabu made his way out and hit Kip with a chair leading to Robles throwing Kip over the top rope and winning the match.

Winner: Nick Robles

This match was exactly what it was. It was so entertaining a breath of fresh air after a lot of fantastic, yet serious, matches. It was fun seeing Sabu, and Nick Robles has all the potential in the world, as he’s one of the top young guns Create A Pro has to offer.

HOSS Fight: Moose vs. Dirty Bulk Bronson vs. Vargas

If you’re anything like me, you love a good “meat-slapping” contest. This match was the definition of a HOSS fight. Three of the biggest, and baddest dudes going at it. Bronson and Vargas are two of the top big men in Create A Pro and add in the factor of “The Wrestling God” Moose, you know this match was bound to be good.

The match itself saw Moose and Bronson work together to start things off to take out Vargas. However, that didn’t last long and soon everyone was going at it. Ultimately, Bronson hit his finishing move on Vargas to win the match and the battle of the HOSSES.

Winner: Bronson

After the match, Moose walked through the crowd leaving, while Bronson celebrated with the crowd. This match was about as good of a big-man match as it came. There were even a couple of high-risk moves. Great match by all involved.

Create A Pro Championship match: Bryce Donovan (c) vs. Aaron Rourke

This was the big fight-feel match. Bryce Donovan has been the Create A Pro Champion for the better part of the past couple of years. Despite missing some time due to injury, Donovan quickly came back and reclaimed his throne. Tonight, however, he faced his biggest challenge yet, the “Evil Gay.”

Bryce Donovan and Aaron Rourke tore the house down. Later on in the match, Rourke accidentally knocked out the referee, leading to Rourke’s cronies coming out. However, one of the three men was unmasked to be Bobby Orlando, and he took out the other two men and chased them to the back to help his Shook Crew running mate, Bryce Donovan.

However, while Orlando was distracted by them, Rourke was able to nail Donovan over the head with the belt and pin him to win the match, becoming the new Create A Pro Champion in the process, his first-ever time winning the belt.

Winner: And New Create A Pro Champion, Aaron Rourke

This match, much like the entirety of the show was incredible. Seeing Aaron Rourke finally have his crowning achievement live was incredible. Rourke is hands down one of the top stars on the independent wrestling scene today, and soon the world will know his name.
