There’s a new champion in WWE’s women’s division. On the June 27th edition of Friday Night SmackDown, broadcast live from the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Giulia defeated Zelina Vega to capture the WWE Women’s United States Championship.
The high-stakes matchup marked Giulia’s first championship opportunity since joining the main roster, and she delivered in a big way. After a physical and competitive back-and-forth contest, Giulia secured the victory, ending Vega’s inaugural reign with the title.
The win cements Giulia’s rise in WWE after signing with the company last year and being immediately positioned as a future cornerstone of the women’s division.
