Following his premium live event return at WWE Night of Champions 2025, Karrion Kross is crediting the fans for his spotlight.
Kross faced Sami Zayn in his first PLE match since WrestleMania 40, and although he was defeated, the reaction and storyline momentum have been impossible to ignore. During a recent appearance on Foundation Radio, Kross opened up about how the match came together — and why it meant so much to him.
“People, fans all over the world are the reason why I was on Night of Champions. This was something I was told about last minute. This is not something that was in the works,” Kross said. “I want people to know that they made that happen. They gave me the time that I really, really have wanted for years now to be able to go out there, tell a story on television, and then blow the match off in a PLE.”
While Kross may have lost at Night of Champions, his rivalry with Zayn is far from over. On the July 7th episode of WWE RAW, Kross viciously attacked Zayn backstage using a steel pipe — escalating the feud and solidifying his heel persona.
The crowd reaction was telling, with loud “We want Kross” chants ringing out during and after the segment.
With renewed momentum, a darker edge, and fan backing, Karrion Kross may be on the path to redemption — by any means necessary.
