Long-Awaited Cody Rhodes Documentary Announced, First Trailer Released

Peacock has officially announced their documentary on Cody Rhodes, which Rhodes had previously hinted at.

Peacock will release “American Nightmare: Becoming Cody Rhodes” on Monday, July 31. The documentary is narrated by actor Stephen Amell, a friend of Rhodes’.

WWE Chairman Vince McMahon is listed as one of the film’s Executive Producers, alongside WWE Executive Producer & Chief of Global Television Distribution Kevin Dunn, WWE Executive Vice President of WWE Television Chris Kaiser, WWE Vice President of Television Strategy Chris Chambers, WWE Senior Vice President & Executive Producer of Documentaries Ben Houser, and Cody himself.

As PWMania.com previously reported, the trailer mentions McMahon visiting Rhodes’ home in an attempt to entice him to return to WWE.

The documentary includes WWE Superstars and Hall of Famers such as The Undertaker and WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H, as well as members of the Rhodes family such as Brandi Rhodes. Cody stated in the trailer that he did not want the footage edited.
