AEW star Maya World spoke with The Dallas Morning News about several topics, including her match at All In: London.
World said, “I had this feeling that I was ready to wait because I know how wrestling is. I was prepared to wait for my turn and wait for my opportunity. But I had a little taste of being in that main event pay-per-view match, so now I want it now.”
On how she originally wanted to pursue a career in the WNBA:
“I wanted to go to the WNBA, and looking back now, it’s like … girl, but everybody who was a little girl playing basketball, that was your dream. I kind of got realistic as I started getting older.”
On what she’s accomplished so far:
“I’ve scratched off a lot of things that I didn’t think I would so early on. Wrestling was my craziest dream.”
