WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2024 inductee Mike Rotunda recently appeared on an episode of Stories With Brisco & Bradshaw, where he talked about a number of topics including The U.S. Express competing in their first WrestleMania:
Rotunda said, โIt was exciting โฆ I started [in the business] at the end of 1981 and now itโs 1984 and Iโm in New York because at the time โฆ there was like, the Carolinas, the Gagnes out in Minneapolis, and then New York were the three big territories. I donโt know how I got there, but that was a quick run to get there.โ
On the WWE schedule he had during the first WrestleMania:
โThey used to take a little break around WrestleMania time, like a week before and a week after. We flew up that morning, did WrestleMania โฆ [then] I ran to the airport and caught a flight home.โ
