WWE President Nick Khan recently appeared on an episode of The Town podcast, where he talked about a number of topics including The Rock’s decision to return to the company.
According to Khan, The Rock’s decision to return to the company and his seat on the TKO board started after a conversation The Great One had with the TKO officials immediately following the company going public and The Rock’s input on the TKO business was something that they were delirious of.
Khan also said that they wanted to bring The Rock back into the fold, but The Rock was hesitant at the time as he needed to figure out the why, with Khan noting that the TKO board is very growth-minded and that the time was finally right.
Khan added that The Rock will film his A24 movie on former MMA fighter Mark Kerr shortly after WrestleMania and will then move on to working on the live-action Moana movie for Disney.
