As WrestleMania draws near, WWE fans won’t have to wait much longer to find out if Roman Reigns’ dominant reign will end.

The Undisputed WWE Champion teams up with The Rock to face Cody Rhodes and World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins in the WWE WrestleMania 40 Night One main event. Night Two will pit Reigns against Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Universal Title.

Although not confirmed, Rhodes is expected to return to dethrone Reigns as champion, a feat he failed to accomplish a year ago as the headliner of WrestleMania 39 – Night 2.

In the most recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer stated that, despite fan speculation, Reigns will not retire after the match; however, due to his schedule, he is likely to take a break from WWE, as was expected last year before plans changed.

Meltzer wrote, “I don’t think anyone believes Reigns would retire with a loss, and WWE has taught fans not to believe it, but given his schedule, it’s probable he’d take some time off. Given his limited schedule, one wouldn’t even expect him on a show again until the as yet unannounced next Saudi Arabia show (last word being on 5/25) and the 8/3 SummerSlam show in Cleveland.”
