WWE Hall Of Famer Believes The Undertaker Has One More Match Left

WWE Hall of Famer JBL believes fans may not have seen the last of The Undertaker inside the squared circle. During a recent episode of the Something to Wrestle podcast, JBL praised the Deadman’s current physical condition and suggested that a return match — particularly against a dominant current champion — could still be on the table.

Though The Undertaker officially retired following his cinematic “Boneyard Match” against AJ Styles at WrestleMania 36 in 2020, JBL says Taker’s intense training regimen keeps the door open.

“I would think it’d be a possibility. He looks great. I mean, he looks great, and he’s in terrific shape,” JBL said. “I know the type of training he’s doing — a lot of functional training. Not just bench presses or squats like we used to do. His body’s moving well. I feel like he probably could still move or move as well as he’s done for 20 years.”

While The Undertaker has stayed active through his acclaimed 1 deadMAN SHOW appearances, JBL thinks stepping back in the ring — even for one final match — is far from impossible.

JBL wasted no time naming a dream opponent for the potential return: World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER.

“It would be awesome… Gunther is an easy choice,” he said. “You need a big, tough guy that can wrestle, that knows his way around. And you need a guy that can get heat on The Undertaker. He’s still a really big guy, and you need someone like GUNTHER — it makes perfect sense.”

A bout between The Undertaker and GUNTHER would be a generational showdown: the most dominant big man of the modern era versus one of the greatest legends in WWE history. With GUNTHER currently holding the World Heavyweight Championship, the stakes could be enormous — and worthy of a marquee premium live event.

While WWE has not hinted at any such return, JBL’s comments are sure to ignite speculation among fans eager to see The Phenom walk the aisle one more time.
