WWE Hall of Famer Booker T recently expressed his excitement and views regarding the forthcoming WWE program, “LFG: Legends and Future Greats,” on his “Hall of Fame” podcast. Booker T, The Undertaker, Bubba Ray Dudley, and Mickie James will head teams of up-and-coming wrestlers.
Booker T emphasized the show’s competitive nature and the importance of teamwork: โItโs going to be a system to whoโs going to come out at the end of the day with the best team, whoโs going to put together the best team, whoโs going to teach their team the most about this business in a limited amount of time.โ
He also emphasized the wrestling industry’s duality: โOne thing about this business also, itโs a very, very selfish business, but itโs a very selfless business at the same time. Itโs got a whole lot to do with what the business is truly all about. Even though we want to win, we know it takes more than us to win, even my team. My team has to make everybody look as good as they possibly can.โ
Booker T believes “LFG” will provide viewers with a unique look behind the scenes of the wrestling world: โItโs going to let the fans come behind the curtain just a little bit and see not just what itโs like behind the curtain, but how hard it is to be behind the curtain, how stressful it is to be behind the curtain, how competition drives you, or bends you, or sometimes break you. Itโs got so many different elements to it. I think thatโs why, for me, I love it.โ
“LFG: Legends and Future Greats” will offer a unique concept in which superstars such as Booker T, The Undertaker, Bubba Ray Dudley, and Mickie James will teach and train teams of developing WWE Superstars, giving viewers an inside look at the wrestling industry’s trials and achievements. The series will premiere on A&E in early 2025.
