On Monday’s episode of WWE RAW, the company announced that next week’s show will start at 6 PM ET, instead of the usual 8 PM ET. It is reported that the SmackDown episode will be taped immediately after RAW. Additionally, both RAW and SmackDown for the following week are scheduled to be taped on Friday, August 28th.

According to Fightful Select, these double tapings are planned to provide the roster and staff with some time off after their busy summer schedule, before they travel to South America for a live event on September 9th in Quito, Ecuador. In the meantime, WWE will hold several more live event tapings, as well as NXT Heatwave on August 30th and Sunday Night’s Main Event on September 6th.
