AEW star Matt Hardy took to an episode of his โ€œExtreme Life of Matt Hardyโ€ podcast, where he talked about a number of topics including how “The Icon” Sting handled the incident at TNA Victory Road 2010 that saw his brother Jeff Hardy compete while under the influence.

Hardy said, โ€œHeโ€™s always loved Jeff.โ€ โ€œHeโ€™s [Jeff] made mistakes, and he [Sting] said โ€˜Iโ€™ve made plenty of mistakes in the past as well.โ€™ It was a mistake, and he said โ€˜I love him. Heโ€™s a good dude, he has a good soul.โ€™ He loves him so much. That was his mentality for all that. Heโ€™s really good, man. Heโ€™s in a place where he has a very strong base in religion and he believes in forgiveness and that people deserve second chances. Just because someone whoโ€™s a good soul or a good person, if they make a mistake, even a couple of times, theyโ€™re still worth redeeming. And I really like that. Itโ€™s very optimistic and very much something that makes me love Sting so much. [Itโ€™s] something that really inspired me too, to always be very forgiving towards everyone.โ€
