WWE Hall of Famer โThe Million Dollar Manโ Ted DiBiase recently appeared on an episode of his โEverybodyโs Got a Podโ podcast, where he discussed a number of topics including working for Eric Bischoff.
DiBiase said, โI didnโt know Eric Bischoff until I went there (WCW). I mean, you know, the guy whoโs calling all the shots doesnโt know no crap about wrestling. Bischoff didnโt know crap about the wrestling business. And so, whereโs he getting all his โ well, heโs got to be listening to the guys, the wrestlers.โ
On his WCW run:
โI was grateful for a three-year contract, which was a sweet deal that โ you know. I said, โIโm gonna show up, and Iโm gonna do what they tell me to do. And then when my three years are up, Iโll be gone.โโ
On why he was mentally checked out by the end of his WCW tenure:
โItโs like the inmates running the asylum. Thatโs what the deal was, which made me even more detached. If Iโd have been physically wrestling at this time, Iโd have had a whole lot more to say and a lot more input in it. You know, I didnโt know any of the background. I didnโt know where they were going with all of this.โ
