Monday’s WWE RAW stood out for a number of reasons, including how it began and ended.
Cody Rhodes delivered an in-ring promo during the opening before The Rock made a surprise appearance. He whispered something to Rhodes before leaving, and Rhodes looked confused. The show concluded with Jimmy Uso brawling with Rhodes until The Rock stepped in.
Rock beat Rhodes throughout the arena and threw him against a tour bus to end the show. Rhodes was bleeding from the forehead. Rock took off his weight-lifting belt, wiped Cody’s blood on it, and stated, “I kept my promise to Mama Rhodes.”
The Rock and Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns will battle Rhodes and World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins in the WrestleMania 40 Night 1 main event.
The Rock turned to Instagram to tell what he told Rhodes during the first segment: “Tonight, I’m gonna make you bleed.”
